“I developed this paper to give you an up-to-date view of the palm oil market, covering what is moving prices, how your supplier’s prices compare and how to prepare for your next contract negotiation. It helps you understand where the market stands, assess your options and decide how best to approach your next purchase.”

Who is a paper for?

For procurement and commercial professionals at UK businesses that buy palm oil. This paper gives you a clear view of the market and the facts to negotiate your next contract with confidence.

What does one paper cover?

One commodity for one quarter; this paper covers October to December 2026: the price range to plan on, what UK buyers pay at the port, what is moving the price, and your buying options costed. Twelve sections, in the order a buyer needs them.

How often is it updated?

An updated edition is released every quarter, and revisions are published in between if something significant changes.

Is this advice?

No. A paper offers analysis, scenarios and Portcroft’s own view of the figures it prints. It is general information for businesses, not advice on any buyer’s circumstances, not investment advice, and not a recommendation to transact in any financial instrument. It is prepared with care from the publishers’ own data and Portcroft’s analysis; forecasts are estimates, and neither source data nor forecasts are warranted as complete or error-free. You remain responsible for the decisions you make using it.

Can I cancel after buying?

Papers are sold for business use only, so there’s no refund for a change of mind. If your paper doesn’t download, is corrupt or isn’t as described, tell us within 30 days and we’ll send a working copy or refund you in full.

Who in my company can read it?

The company named on your order holds the licence. Its employees may use the paper where they need it for the company’s own business, and its professional advisers where they need it to advise you. Parent companies, subsidiaries and other group companies need their own licence, or a group licence where we offer one.

Can I buy from outside the United Kingdom?

Not at present. Papers are sold to businesses based in the United Kingdom, for use in their business, and paid for with a card issued in the United Kingdom. A purchase from outside the United Kingdom will be declined, and your card will not be charged.

How are payments processed?

Payment is by card through Stripe. In the UK, payments are handled by Stripe Payments UK Ltd, authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority. We never see your full card number. We sell only to UK businesses, so we confirm each order before your card is charged. If we can’t accept it, your card will not be charged. Your receipt arrives by email straight after payment.

How is the paper delivered?

By email, once your order is confirmed, with a secure download link unique to your order. The paper is a PDF, with your licence reference on every page.

What if the download does not work?

Tell us and we will send you a new link. If a paper does not download, is corrupt or is not as described, contact us within 30 days of payment and we will send you a working copy or refund you in full. That promise is ours, in addition to your statutory rights, which are not affected.

Where does the data come from?

From published sources such as government statistics, international organisations and the publishers’ own releases, together with Portcroft’s own analysis and forecasts. Each source is named in the paper’s Sources with the date it was read, and each publisher is credited beside the figures it provided.
